The La Cienega Design Quarter has announced that the theme for LEGENDS 2016 is “One of a Kind” and the dates are Tuesday, May 3, to Thursday, May 5. To accommodate the huge demand for the LEGENDS event, LCDQ plans to open the registration website in January 2016.

LEGENDS has become the most popular design event in the country as it brings together influencers, enthusiasts, top design editors, and purveyors of design for keynote panels, cocktail parties, receptions, book signings, personal appearances and trunk shows over 3 days.


The cornerstone of the LEGENDS event is the windows of the LCDQ, which are transformed on the year’s theme. LEGENDS 2015 saw an unprecedented 65 designers creating vignettes on the theme of “Where Muses Dwell.”


The theme for LEGENDS 2016 – “One of a Kind” – has a double entendre. The LEGENDS event is, in and of itself, a unique extravaganza of design – and some would say, “one of a kind.” The theme also reflects the extraordinary character of the LCDQ and the furnishings sold in the quarter, from unusual antiques and vintage pieces to custom furniture, lighting, floor coverings, hardware and other home furnishings created especially by designers for the discriminating clientele that shops in the LCDQ.


On the heels of this year’s highly acclaimed LEGENDS event, which registered more than 10,000 people from 21 states across the nation and 5 countries, designers and bloggers from around the world have already begun inquiring about the details of the LCDQ’s eighth annual LEGENDS event.


LEGENDS 2016 will mark the first year that the opening night Gala will be on a Tuesday, and programming and parties will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, as the LCDQ is planning an exclusive home tour on Friday and the 58 members of the quarter will host open houses for a festive “shopping day.”


ABOUT LEGENDS: In its eighth consecutive year, LEGENDS has attracted over 80,000 attendees and garnered more than 200 million media impressions in 2014 and 2015 alone.  The parties, lunches and programs are a huge draw, with as many as 800 people at the kick-off party in previous years and capacity audiences of 150-250 at the programs held in LCDQ member shops and showrooms.
