Marge Carson Launches Statement-Making Contemporary Furniture Collection
One of the La Cienega Design Quarter’s oldest and largest privately owned furniture brands, Marge Carson, has launched a new case goods collection with a contemporary imprint.
With stylistic references to Art Deco furniture of the 1930s, the Equinox Collection of furniture is made of exotic zebra and other wood veneers featuring bold, eye-catching sunburst patterns.
The Equinox Collection includes a dining room set, bedroom set and occasional pieces that share a common design thread of richly grained woods and polished nickel, satin brass and other metal hardware. The vitrine, or display case, is stunning, with a starburst pattern of metal strips splayed on the glass front.
Decorative materials and accents abound in this collection. The Equinox cocktail table features a polished crystal stone alabaster top. The top of the console table balances on a polished crystal disc bordered in satin brass. And the dining table, which comes with a leaf, features antique mirror tiles inset into cashmere silver border of the apron.
Most pieces are customizable, allowing the client to create their own design statement within a room.
The California-based Marge Carson brand has had a longstanding commitment to quality and style in its 72 years in business. Opening their doors to both the design trade and retail, the showroom has a large stylistic range of furnishings spanning old world to contemporary. Marge Carson allows each client to create the piece of their dreams as they encourage the client to “think of it as decor without limits”. From hardware to fabric to embellishments, the La Cienega hotspot offers an “all Marge Carson” product experience.
