Vanessa Traina Features Antique Rug Co. at The Line on Melrose Ave

The Antique Rug Co. in the La Cienega Design Quarter recently teamed up with Decaso Home to participate in Vanessa Traina’s unique showroom on Melrose Place.

Traina chose a 19th-century Bakshaish rug from the Antique Rug Co. to anchor the vignette that she designed at The Apartment by the Line, an experiential shopping experience where sample living environments with items curated from a variety of sources are styled as they would be in a home. Traina chose to feature several floor coverings from The Antique Rug Co. on Decaso. Her online curation lasts until Oct. 19, and the vignette will remain on view at The Apartment by the Line until Oct. 27.

In an interview about the project Traina was asked to highlight a few of her favorites in the curation of items for sale on Decasso. She replied, “The Antique Persian Bakshaish rug from Antique Rug Co. is exquisite. The weave is timeless and classic, but there’s a charm that sets it apart from many of the vintage rugs I’ve seen over the years. It’s definitively an awe-inspiring piece.”

Traina is a well-known fashion stylist who’s also the executive creative director of Assembled Brands. She recently partnered with the online design platform Decorative Arts Society (DECASO) on a special limited-edition sale, DECASO X Vanessa Traina, featuring exclusively curated antique and modernist discoveries from nearly 20 L.A.-based dealers, including the Antique Rug Co.
