Architect/designer Ray Booth pushes into more contemporary territory with his second furniture collection for Hickory Chair. Join Booth for a tour followed by a book signing of Evocative Interiors, his first monograph that lives up to its name, portraying spaces that exude modernism while reflecting a sense of place and history.
- The Art of Hospitality: Divine Details That Make People Feel Welcome
Soho Home hosts Joanna Saltz, Editorial Director of Delish + House Beautiful, Richard Mishaan, world-renowned interior designer and author, and Candace Hickman, Lead Designer at Soho House, for a conversation on the magic that makes people feel at home wherever they are. Cocktail reception and book-signing to follow for Richard Mishaan Design, which showcases stately New York townhouses and Hamptons estates as well as hotels from South Beach to Cartagena, all created by Mishaan’s eponymous firm.

Estate architect Richard Landry and interior designer Philip Nimmo will present the creation of a residence whose design evolved as a contemporary reinterpretation of a classical French château. Moderated by California Homes Editor-in-Chief Susan McFadden and followed by a book signing for Creating a Livable Work of Art, which documents how the home was conceived, designed, and built.

Born during the pandemic, the Whisky Watercolor Club is a group of 5 esteemed architects who get together on Zoom weekly to talk and paint. Thomas Kligerman, Michael Imber, Doug Wright and Steve Rugo (Ankie Barnes is unable to attend) will have an in-person reunion at LEGENDS and share how painting has served their psyche and their work. Moderated by Michael Diaz-Griffith, Executive Director of the Design Leadership Network. Paintings from each architect will be offered for sale, with proceeds going to charity, and a book signing for Shingle and Stone: Thomas Kligerman Houses will follow the discussion.

Suzanne Rheinstein was LCDQ’s Living Legend in 2019, and upon her death last month she became a Design Icon. Fashion has historically had a way of trickling into the home, but now it’s a question of what came first – home or fashion? Interiors have a stronger voice than ever, so are designers and creatives still looking to the runway or vice versa? Designers Scott Formby (previously of Ralph Lauren, J. CREW, Frette and Geoffrey Beene) and Jessica Gersten (Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren and Kenneth Cole) join House Beautiful’s Robert Rufino (previously Tiffany & Co, Elle Decor and NYT Magazine) and moderator Carisha Swanson, of House Beautiful, to weigh in on fashion’s historical influences and what’s relevant now.

California Home+Design Editorial Director Lindsey Shook sits down with renowned fashion and interior designer Erin Fetherston to discuss the process, challenges and successes of collaborating with major brands.

Fantastical and trendy is fun to look at, but is it really how people live today? Designers Paul Wiseman, Michael Cox and Amy Meier will debate, with designer Madeline Stuart moderating, the key pieces every home needs to dress the part for real life. Reflecting on how people live today, the experts will share the custom elements that make a home look most ‘put-together’.

This roundtable discussion moderated by journalist Jessica Ritz with photographer Roger Davies, Design Brand Consultant Sean Yashar, and Shannon Wollack of Studio Life/Style will look at the various avenues to getting your work recognized in the ever-shifting media landscape. Following the talk, celebrated photographer Roger Davies, whose work has been featured in publications such as Galerie, Architectural Digest, Luxe, and Elle Decor, will sign copies of his book, Beyond the Canyon: Inside Epic California Homes.
- Clodagh: From Couture to Design
From a couture fashion salon in Dublin in the 1960s to New York, where she opened an interior design studio in the 1980s and launched an illustrious career designing spas, hotels, personal residences, rugs, furniture and an array of product, Clodagh is the consummate trailblazer. LCDQ is proud to screen a 45-minute documentary about an extraordinarily prolific designer who inspires and enthralls with her wit and wisdom.
