Jeff Andrews created “a portal into a 1960s vision of the future à la Victor Vasarely” in Downtown’s window for #LEGENDS2013.

Andrews is an award-winning, Los Angeles-based interior designer whose work has been celebrated in books and magazines around the world including Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Interiors and Traditional Home. Designing homes for Hollywood celebrities, as well as young entrepreneurs and families, Andrews is skilled at pushing creative boundaries in ways that respect and redefine traditional design aesthetics. In 2012, he was named to The Hollywood Reporter’s list of the 25 Most Influential Designers in Los Angeles.

Andrews explains his vision and design for Downtown’s window display for #LEGENDS2013:

“It is comprised of a black and white spiral canvas in the artist’s signature style, Arturo Pani Modernist fiberglass chairs, and an upside-down concave mirror meant to signify the disorienting effect of time travel; a glimpse of the future inspired by the past.”

Downtown carries pieces from the 20th century and earlier and offers historical knowledge with high energy and imagination. Downtown’s efforts are focused on outstanding Italian, French and American pieces from interior designers and architects. Their Classics Collection features lighting, mirrors and furniture inspired by classic design. This collection has evolved from the many unique antique and vintage pieces Downtown has collected throughout the years.
