Inventive artisans and creatives provide the fuel that keeps the design industry fresh and forward thinking. As part of the 7th annual LEGENDS event, Luxe Interiors + Design Editor in Chief Pamela Jaccarino will present a keynote on “Makers as Muse” on Thursday, May 7th, at 2:00 pm.  She will engage with top Los Angeles designers Betsy Burnham, Joe Lucas and Molly Luetkemeyer to discuss the makers and craftsmen who serve and inspire them.

Keynote: Makers as Muse
Location: Tufenkian
501 N. La Cienega Blvd.

Tufenkian has elevated the ancient craft of hand-knotting area rugs by using the finest materials in elegant, contemporary designs that are woven in Armenia and in Tibet. Tufenkian has won awards for their rug designs, and their standard-setting humanitarian practices have attracted world-class partner designers, including Barbara Barry, Clodagh, Laura Kirar, Mark Pollack, Kevin Walz, and Vicente Wolf.  From rugs in their numerous collections to one-of-a-kind custom designs, Tufenkian’s Tibetan and Armenian carpets remain vibrant and beautiful for generations, their lifetimes measured in decades and centuries instead of years.
