La Cienega Design Quarter 2013

“Much of the inspiration came from David Bowie’s White Light Tour! An artist’s interpretation of the Hindu lord of architecture looks down upon our spare white space of infinite design,” says Chris Barrett describing her #LEGENDS2013 window design at Ralf’s Antiques, Inc., adding,  “The space that can be interpreted differently by each observer.”

Known for her portfolio of custom residences and estates, Barrett’s unique vision has been well matched to the varied lifestyles of her clientele. Her work includes a Spanish Colonial residence in Santa Monica, California, a villa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and numerous high profile projects. She has taken on a wide range of commercial assignments, from the acclaimed Comme Ça Restaurant in West Hollywood and Hotel Oceana in Santa Monica. Chris Barrett Textiles, is a vibrant collection of outdoor fabrics, sold in showrooms across the country.

Ralf’s Antiques, a family-owned business established in 1969, has been operating in the same location in Los Angeles for over 40 years. They offer a large selection of antiques from 15th through 19th century Italian, Spanish, French and English refined country and formal furniture, mirrors, chandeliers, paintings, books and many unusual decorative accessories. This includes an incredible selection of Italian and Spanish, as well as Georgian, Regency (English), Louis XV, Louis XV and Empire period (French) antiques.
