Hollyhock to Host Booksigning for Author Bettie Bearden Pardee
Hollyhock is hosting a drop-in luncheon and booksigning Friday, September 26th from 11am-1 pm for Bettie Bearden Pardee, author of Living Newport: Houses, People, Style.
Pardee is a graduate of Marlborough School in Los Angeles who now lives in Newport, Rhode Island, where she is an accomplished hostess and active community leader. A former contributing editor to Bon Appetit, Pardee was also host and creative producer of the thirteen-part PBS series “The Presidential Palate: Entertaining at the White House,” and has written two books on entertaining.
Her newest work, Living Newport: Houses, People, Style, celebrates the uniqueness of life in Newport, showcasing both its signature mansions and the tastemakers who reside in them – from the heirs of the old guard to the “new” social set.
