Design Within Reach is hosting a design panel tomorrow, June 17th from 6 to 8pm on the topic of Paul Rand, the designer of the iconic ABC, IBM and UPS logos (among others), and the innovator widely credited with changing the landscape of graphic design in the 1950s and ’60s. Moderated by Chronicle Books’ creative director, Michael Carabetta, design professionals Sean Adams and Louise Sandhaus will discuss the enduring legacy of Rand’s designs.

Sean Adams is a partner at AdamsMorioka in Beverly Hills, and has been recognized by several major competitions and publications, including Step, Communication Arts, Graphis AIGA, The Type Directors Club, The British Art Director’s Club, and the New York Art Director’s Club.

Louise Sandhaus is a graphic designer, teacher, and author, whose work has been widely praised and is in the permanent collections of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Bibliothèque nationale de France, Paris.
