Vanity Fair’s James Reginato in LCDQ for Book Signing at Jasper
Journalist James Reginato, a longtime writer for Vanity Fair with access behind many closed doors, will make a special appearance at designer Michael S. Smith’s Jasper showroom to sign copies of his book Great Houses, Modern Aristocrats on Tuesday, October 25, from 6pm-8pm.
Filled with stunning photography by Jonathan Becker and with a foreword by Viscount Linley, the new book presents a tour of 16 residences throughout Britain, many of which are shown for the first time.
Reginato brings history to life through the opulent residences and intriguing stories from modern-day aristocrats who keep their homes in high style.
Readers are transported through the exquisite rooms of Blenheim Palace (seven acres of splendor under one roof); the exquisite Old Vicarage in Derbyshire, last residence of the late Dowager Duchess of Devonshire (née Deborah Mitford); Haddon Hall, a vast crenellated 900-year-old manor house belonging to the Dukes of Rutland that has been called the most romantic house in England; and the island paradises on Mustique and St. Lucia of the 3rd Baron Glenconner.
Jasper showroom founder Michael S. Smith is considered one of the most original and respected talents in the design industry today, with an international profile of residential, hospitality and commercial clients. His design firm, Michael S Smith Inc, was launched in 1990, expanding from projects solely for private clients to his Jasper line of fine furniture and fabrics sold exclusively in multi-line showrooms around the world.
