Design Within Reach Introduces Most Modular Sofa Collection Yet
Design Within Reach has introduced additional components to its Reid collection, a collection of parts that allows one to arrange sofas and sectionals into custom configurations. To enable these configurations, Reid’s components all have hooked and toothed brackets that connect to one other when pushed together, and which can be separated simply by lifting the side with the hooked bracket. The new designs make Reid Design Within Reach’s most modular collection to date, suitable for large and small spaces alike.
The collection was designed by American designers Jeffrey Bernett and Nicholas Dodziuk, who have collaborated on projects for B&B Italia, Berhardt, Boeing, Herman Miller®, Knoll®, Teknion and others. The duo has received several awards together, including the Best of Neocon Silver in 2007 for the Dividends Horizon collection from Knoll, Best of the Year award in 2010 from Interior Design for DWR’s own Raleigh Sofa and Best of Neocon Gold in 2013 for Teknion’s Fractals.
