McKinnon and Harris Adds New Pieces to Iconic Outdoor Line
After introducing its original duVal design in 2004, McKinnon and Harris has added to this iconic outdoor collection each year. The duVal features a standard back panel of high performance aluminum in diagonal lattice, but can be customized with different back panels – including the Moroccan panel, the Persian Star panel and a panel of linear vertical bars.
For 2015, McKinnon and Harris unveils the duVal club chair and the low-back settee, shown here with the Quadrato back panel of a modernist grid of squares. The duVal seating ensemble below is also complemented by a pair of Wyatt square side tables and a pair of Ardlussa palm boxes in the Shenandoah Gray Green powder-coated finish.
As with all McKinnon and Harris pieces, each duVal design is produced to exacting standards by a master craftsperson in the company’s Richmond, Virginia workshop. The company is noted worldwide for their adherence to exceptional standards, and for that they are sought after by connoisseurs, designers and architects working at the highest level. The McKinnon and Harris workshop produces a limited amount of furniture each year, as a single piece can take forty hours and the work of ten craftspeople.
