The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art – Southern California (ICAA) will be hosting a classical lecture series on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 6:30pm at the STARK Carpet Showroom in West Hollywood. “The Test of Time – Living with the Things We Love,” is the topic of the lecture.

The ICAA invited Lee Stanton, noted antiquarian and La Cienega Design Quarter president, and Jane Hallworth, designer, collector and LCDQ member, to discuss the evolution of design, the trends that come and go, and the design elements that have withstood the test of time. Stanton and Hallworth will each share how they integrate elements from the past and live with the pieces they love in their homes today.

Stanton, a notable figure in the design community, has built a reputation on bringing vintage pieces to life by blending them into modern designs. “I have always strived to keep antiques current – mixing objects from different times and places adds a dimension to any room,” says Stanton. He incorporates these ideas into his own homes, designing each with a different overall concept than the previous.

At the lecture, Stanton will also announce the recent arrival of over 200 items to his showroom, Lee Stanton Antiques, imported from England, France and Belgium.

The lecture is free to 2016 Classical Lecture Series Season Pass Holders, $30 for ICAA Members and Employees of Member Professional Firms, $55 for the general public and $15 for students & Neo Classicists. This is the third lecture of the Classical Lecture Series. The Series will conclude with Patrick Dragonnette at the end of October.
