Jean Marc Gallery and student protégés of Monique Baudaux (1931- 2009) would like to remember and honor a great versatile visionary, a master of design, color, and light, a seeker of excellence artist- Monique Baudaux.
Monique Baudaux born in Belgium, painted works on canvas which command attention through the depth of human understanding. Baudaux’s collection of artwork include portraits of young and old, still lifes and landscapes. Many of her paintings have earned her honorable mentions as well as awards. These include: Second Prize “Prix Louis Schmidt”- Prix de Peinture, Brussels and second Prize of the City Uccle, Belgium. After leaving her native country in 1966 and moving to Canada, she resided in sunny Southern California where she shared her talents by teaching and giving fine art demonstrations.
Jean Marc Gallery has been working with Monique Baudaux for over 20 years and owns an extensive collection of her paintings including oils, pastels, lithographs, miniatures and hand made greeting cards.
