Michael Carter and Douglas Truesdale of Carter Truesdale were inspired by a 1970’s room designed by Albert Hadley for their #Legends2013 window design at the Gina Berschneider showroom.

With decades of success as one of Boston’s leading design firms, business partners and friends Michael Carter and Douglas Truesdale bring their effortless and classic style to the West Coast with the recent launch of Carter Truesdale in West Hollywood. The firm operates their interior design practice and home furnishings showroom from their boutique studio on Melrose Avenue, which houses Carter Truesdale’s bespoke furniture collection and serve as the exclusive west coast distributor for Tillett textiles.

A quote from the designers on their #LEGENDS 2013 window design for Gina Berschneider:

“The focal point of Mr. Hadley’s room is a double-height window draped in a gorgeous chocolate brown and white chevron print by Tillett Textiles. Our window design features the same chevron print, in the same color combination created by Albert Hadley. Complementing the fabric choice are a Moroccan area rug; a bone inlay table; cream linen upholstery, and a spectacular brass palm tree… all adding up to a glamorous 70’s look!”

Gina Berschneider offers furniture, lighting, textiles and accessories, most of it designed by Gina and made by craftsmen in the Berschneiders’ Southern California workshop. The La Cienega showroom is beautifully layered with the designer’s latest classic larger-than-life upholstered pieces, hand-carved walnut and mahogany tables, modern iron tables and lighting, transitional lamps and mirrors, antique and vintage finds from all over the world, and art from Berschneider’s favorite artists.

The showroom also features plush cashmere, vicuna and wool fabrics from the Loro Piana Interiors Collection, Gina Berschneider private label mohair, chenille and leather in shades especially chosen for Southern California palates, and fabrics from Schumacher, Décor de Paris and Highland Court.
