A big reminder that The Greystone Show House wraps up its’ two-week run on Sunday. The English Gothic Revival mansion has been redecorated by a phalanx of “It” designers who were tasked with bringing a modern approach to the historic landmark. No doubt, you’ll see pieces in the show sourced from the stores in the LCDQ as many of the designers are frequent clients.
The Grand Salon Ballroom designed by Jack Fhillips was my favorite room. I loved the contrast of the matching pair of modern sofas and the abstract Bradford Stewart painting above the mantel with the classic bones of the room and the house. It’s also fun to try to find any blood stains in the original Brunswick bowling alley from “There Will Be Blood.”
