June Scott of DWG Design Studio took a literal interpretation of the theme for #LEGENDS2013 – the past, present and future of design. The backdrop of her clever window design at Off The Wall Antiques is a painting of Ulysses representing history, the globe is the present, and whoever looks in the mirror would see “the future of design.”

Off The Wall Antiques brings their “Twentieth Century Design with an Edge” to La Cienega after 30 years on Melrose Avenue. Off The Wall specializes in unique and collectible furnishings and objects from the Art Deco period to the midcentury. Design curiosities abound: silver tufted sofas from “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” vintage Arthur Court, Normandie oceanliner chairs, Fornasetti screen and Donald Deskey pool table. During LEGENDS and continuing this month, OTW featured a recently uncovered “Time Capsule” of a 50-year collection of 200 WPA period paintings from the 1930s.
