Simply put, I tend to think of good design as improving the quality of life. This story in today’s LA Times documents an inspiring story of great design.
The EDAR (Everyone Deserves a Roof) is a mobile shelter for the homeless. It was designed by Eric Lindeman and Jason Zasa, but is the “brainchild” of Peter Samuelson, a naturalized American of English descent. On top of an impressive life resume, it’s his dedication to the belief that we all have an obligation to lift up society that truly distinguishes his nobility.
It’s a great read about a great design.
