House of Honey’s Window Design at Waterworks
Brings Vintage to Life

July 4_House of Honey_Waterworks_Grey Crawford_med resWaterworks’ window designed by House of Honey for #LEGENDS2013.

“I love the idea of reinventing and reinterpreting vintage furniture,” says Tamara Kaye-Honey. “The Uptown dresser, which I designed and am showcasing in one of my windows, is a nod to Dorothy Draper and 15th Century Britain. It’s that perfect blend of past, present and future!”

Kaye-Honey is inspired by design and architecture from both the past and present. She customizes, re-works and reinvents pieces and showcases her New Vintage style at House of Honey, her home decor shop and design studio. House of Honey now sells vintage and reinvented furniture through 1stdibs and One Kings Lane marketplace. She recently designed a line of nursery furniture for Nurseryworks true to her New Vintage style.  Her artful mix of old and new has been attracting international media attention. Named one of Traditional Home’s top 10 new interior designers for 2012 and participated in the 2012 Hamptons Designer Showhouse, Kaye-Honey and her work have been featured in California Home+Design, The Los Angeles Times, Traditional Home, Rue, Canadian House & Home and Chatelaine Magazine.

Waterworks is the leading luxury brand for the bath and kitchen with a product assortment that offers the complete experience from faucets and tubs to towels and apothecary. Inspired by the rich history of the European bath, Waterworks has brought impeccable style and artisanal quality craftsmanship to what had often been an overlooked and under-served area of the home. Their fixtures represent a state-of-the-art understanding of both traditional and contemporary materials such as cast iron, copper, porcelain, vitreous china, marble and acrylic.
