Montecito Bedding

There are eight bedding packages and 20 sets of correlated fabrics in the Montecito program. It’s not just the matchless styling and distinctive textiles and trims that set these ensembles apart, however. Consumers are given the opportunity to have their say in the finished look of the ensemble by choosing fabrics and trims that express their individuality.

Each bedding package consists of a bedspread/comforter, bed skirt, and collection of handsomely embellished decorative pillows in a mix of sizes and shapes. All but one of the fabric groupings can be used with any of the bedding packages. And within each group of fabrics, consumers select the textiles and trims they prefer for the many pillow shams and bolsters.

Most of the fabrics used in this program are silk, sourced from around the world, and many of them are exclusive to Marge Carson, notes Christine Rendino, director of fashion and merchandising for Marge Carson, Inc. Exceptional as the fabrics are, the real magic of the program are the details that go into it, she says, like crystal and metallic buttons, hand-beaded tape trims, beaded cords on pillows and the new raindrop beaded tassels.
