Barakat

The newest member in the Barakat Family of Galleries is now open in the famous La Cienega Design Quarter in West Hollywood as of January 2017. The gallery is a 7,000 square foot museum style space spread over two levels and 12 rooms. Showcasing everything from Classical sculpture to antique jewelry, this dynamic, multi-dimensional space provides an experience of the ancient world unlike any other.

Barakat’s Los Angeles location houses an assortment of incredible spaces, including a Russian icons chapel room, a multitude of galleries dedicated to Asian, African, Pre-Columbian, and Classical works, a breath-taking cross format main room, and a library containing art, history, and anthropology-related texts. The location is an all-around stunning testament to thousands of years of human ingenuity and development in the arts.

Included in the variety of unique relics on display and for purchase at Barakat are Olmec jade masks, Chinese terracotta, Egyptian sarcophagus lids, busts of Egyptian pharaohs, Pre-Columbian devotional objects, and Classical sculptures of gods and goddesses. All these and more can be seen at the gallery’s opening on Saturday, April 29th from 6-8 PM.
